This AACR International Conference on Advances in Cancer Research: From the Laboratory to the Clinic, the first conference of its type to be held in the Middle East, will present the latest discoveries in tumor biology, novel therapeutics, the genetic basis of cancer, cancer epidemiology and prevention, and immunology. Scientific workshops will address the application of new technologies to advance cancer research in the areas of RNAs, signaling pathways, and in vivo imaging. Educational workshops will focus on the following topics: grant writing and funding sources, comprehensive cancer centers, clinical trial design, and scientific writing and the publication process. In addition, proffered paper sessions and poster sessions will be held, during which investigators will present and discuss their latest research in an informal setting. This conference will appeal to a broad spectrum of cancer researchers.
